Peppermint was rescued from a kill pen the day she was set to load the truck for slaughter.  She arrived to the farm with her bonded friend Penelope and both were said to be pregnant. Peppermint was very thin and sick when she arrived to HHFS and had no appetite.  Our vet provided antibiotics for her and stressed the importance of getting her to eat. 6 days after rescuing Peppermint, she had a seizure and passed away. She will remain forever in our hearts.
